Life is changing for me: no pioneering, got a job!
by Skepsis ina month ago i decided to register in this board.
i had decided to step down pioneering but was frightened about the consequences.
i had finished my university degree some months before (despite disaproval from brothers in my congregation) and i had to choose: continue pioneering and working in jobs with no future or starting a career, working full-time.. i was thinking to postpone the decisiton but... i was fed up with preaching.

Skepsis,
Your depression is the sign that all is not well...
Cognitive dissonance seems to be what you are experiencing. Not at all easy to cope with.
You are now up against the peer pressure that an organisation like the Watchtower puts on you. It's going to be hard to break from without feeling like a bit of a 'Judas'. So the 'fear of losing everything' that you are feeling right now is quite normal.
It's great that you are feeling relieved, but you are a long way off of attaining total peace of mind, and to get there is quite a journey.
Getting a career and making friends outside the congregation is a very wise first step.
Don't be in any rush to make changes. As time goes by it will become evident as to where your future lies.
And keep posting.

midnight.
Well if you are feeling "a bit messed up psychologically" then you should definitely wait until you get back to some sort of equilibrium, before making any life changing decisions. Else you are leaving yourself vulnerable to acting irrationally.
For example... now would not be a good time for you to enter into a committed relationship with a boyfriend/girlfriend. Many people have, and regretted it for the rest of their lives. Easy mistake to make.
It's the same with the Watchtower. I would be interested to know how many people on this forum were taken in by the JWs when they were in a vulnerable state of mind.
Sounds like you need to talk through what is causing your emotional issues, in order to be able to clear your mind of its agitation.
People here are very understanding, although being selective would be a wise thing. So why not talk it out with someone you are comfortable with?
Hope you get peace of mind soon.

Midnight.
I apologize for the insensitive tone of my response to your OP.
If you really are having doubts, why not allow some time to pass by? There is no rush. The Watchtower isn't going anywhere.
Why not take some time out, a few years if necessary, just so that you can look into the Watchtower and not leave a stone unturned?

Why do people feel the need to announce that they are going back to the Kingdom Hall?
Who really cares less?
Do they want everyone to try to talk them out of it or something?
If you've made your mind up, just go. No one on a site like this is going to feel good for you.
If you want to go back then that's your mistake.
The best of luck.

The Amazing Teeth of the Great White Shark
by LoveUniHateExams ingreat white sharks are able to subdue and eat almost anything they come across, thanks to their amazing teeth.
consider: the great white shark (carcharodon carcharias) needs to catch and process food in order to survive.
its teeth are remarkable, being arranged in rows and rows that move forward, like a conveyor belt, so that these animals always have a full set of functioning teeth at any one time.. furthermore, the shape of this shark's teeth changes throughout its life.

I always love to concede defeat on evolution with the JWs, just so that the juicy topic of 'evil creation' can be discussed.
LOL! Fast seaweed.

An interesting reasoning for the existence of God (from JW public talk)
by anointed1 ini was on an official tour last week to another part of my country.
on my way to the hotel, i noticed sign-board of jw kingdom hall.
i thought i would attend sunday meeting as i knew no one would recognize me.. seeing “a new-comer” in the audience, public speaker adapted his material making it especially appealing to me.

A1 - " 1) Theory of evolution indirectly believes that there is some cause behind everything (which would ultimately reach God)"
The concept of 'god' comes very late on in the Theory of Evolution, being that it is just a construct of human imagination.
A1 - " ...even this theory indirectly praises God."
Yes, it's so wonderful how god made life, the way that every creature dies in unbearable agony, many being eaten alive by predators while running for their lives.
The 'loving' way in which god made some animals with stings.
Or the care He went to when he made venomous snakes, going to the trouble of drilling a tiny hole through a fang and attaching a sack of poison to the end of it, so that when the snake bites into its victim, the unfortunate creature slowly swells up to the point where it suffocates to death in fear and agony.
Yes...how loving the 'creator' is indeed. His 'invisible qualities' are certainly 'seen from the world's creation onwards'.

Here's another one:-
You wake up one morning and see that the "millions now living will never die"... are all dead.
Hang on... that one has also happened. There's a bit of a pattern going on here.
What are your thoughts?
